Import Snow Day/Delayed Start Info:

If FALA calls a snow day, this website will be updated by 7:00AM. Make sure to refresh your browser to make sure you're reading the latest information.

Here's a link to the newsletter sent to parents. This information was also mailed home.

FALA determines when to call a snow day independent of FUSD. We base our decision on the weather forecast given by the National Weather Service, road conditions, and snow removal efforts on our campus.

If FALA has not called a snow day, but roads in your neighborhood remain uncleared, we ask you to take your student's safety into consideration when determining whether he/she can safely travel to school.

For delayed start information, see our website.

Many, many thanks to all the donors, volunteers, students, and supporters who made our FALA Gala such a huge success and fun event. We are fortunate to have this kind of support in our community! Look for our "thank you" ad in the Daily Sun. We'll post here when we know the date it will run. Thank you!

Parent Volunteer Corps

Join our Parent Volunteer Corps to help us mobilize volunteers, organize events, and raise money for our school. This is an excellent way to be part of the FALA community and to be of HUGE service to our school. If you're interested, email our Executive Director Becky Daggett.

[An artist's studio,
filled with junk,
junk everywhere
a total wreck of easels and canvases
and pottery and drawings
and architect's tables
and tubes of paint.

Miranda wanders in,
holding a cup of tea.]

MIRANDA
This is what I do every morning
I get a cup of tea
and I step through the door into my studio
and whatever catches my attention
that's what I do.
I go to that, whatever it is.
I look at it and see if it needs a little more red somewhere
or a little blue on the top
and I do that
until something else in the studio catches my eye
something else that might need a little blue
or another tree painted in
or a sailboat sailing up in the sky.
This is what I do,
and this is a perfect life,
and I love it.
