Open Teaching Positions at FALA

Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy (FALA) is seeking innovative, creative, dedicated, and knowledgeable professional educators for the positions described below. Applicants should be interested in designing curriculum, integrating content across subject areas, and being an active member of a collaborative team. Special Education Administrative Assistant (starting May 1)

Requirements:

  • Highly qualified with at least 2 years or 60 credit hours of study at an institution of higher education or an Associates Degree or higher, Bachelors Degree preferred OR a passing score on an Arizona Department of Education approved assessment (ParaPro, ACT Workkeys, or Master Teacher’s Para Educator Learning Network)
  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, IEP-Pro, and Schoolmaster
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Current First Aide/CPR certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred

Compensation: $15 per hour, benefits eligible. 35 hours per week.

Middle School and High School Math Teacher: To be considered, applicants must be highly qualified to teach high school math and hold a current fingerprint clearance card.  Preference will be given to applicants with middle school and high school teaching experience.  This is a full-time position with benefits that will include teaching middle school math courses and high school Algebra.

High School Social Studies (Government, Economics, and United States History): To be considered, applicants must be highly qualified to teach high school Government, Economics, and United States History and hold a current fingerprint clearance card.  This is a full-time position with benefits that will include teaching Advanced Placement Government and Advanced Placement United States History.

High School and Middle School Social Studies (Human Geography, World History, and Liberal Studies): To be considered, applicants must be highly qualified to teach high school Geography and World History and hold a current fingerprint clearance card.  This is a full-time position with benefits that will include teaching Advanced Placement World History and 8th Grade Liberal Studies.

Substitute Teachers: The Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy (FALA) is seeking substitute teachers in all areas for grades 7-12. To be considered, applicants must have at least a Bachelor's degree and hold a current fingerprint clearance card.
