Hello my name is Ms. McKenna and I am very excited to begin my first year at FALA. I am a recent graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Master of Arts degree in Science Teaching. As an undergraduate I studied Biology and Chemistry and have developed a great appreciation for all the sciences.

My goal as a science teacher is to guide and enable my students to make informed and educated life decisions. Incorporating the history and nature of science into my classroom, I will encourage my students to be healthy, responsible, active, and participating members of their communities. I am a strong supporter of inquiry-based learning and plan to focus my curriculum on critical thinking, community building, and hands-on problem solving.
