Ryan Narce
11th Grade History / 8th Grade Liberal Studies
Teacher Bio
I currently teach 8th Grade Liberal Studies ("The 20th Century and 'The World of Tomorrow'") as well as a section of 11th Grade U.S. History. Before teaching at FALA, I worked as a subsitute teacher in FUSD, taught in a resource classroom as a Behavioral Health Aide, and managed a Therapeutic Group Home for teens. Prior to that, I spent years in college slowly concluding that being a 'teacher' would be much more fun (not to mention personally rewarding) than being a 'professor'. In that long time of realization, I completed a B.S. in History with a minor in Political Science, and I'm roughly 80% finished with a Master's of Sec. Ed.
This year, my very first year of teaching (no pressure), I look forward to creating and implementing a new curriculum for the 8th Graders, to learning from my experiences, and to elaborating on Mr. Anderson's U.S. History curriculum with a few twists of my own. |
