Clubs & Activities
 

FALA has several clubs and many fun activities for students outside of our classrooms. We encourage students to get involved because the more involved you are, the more you'll enhance the education you receive from our excellent teachers.

Compost Club: Meets on the last Thursday of the month at lunch in Room 16. Open to grades 7-12, this club will coordinate the compost program on campus and help FALA become more sustainable. Advisors: Emily Musta and Megan McKenna

Ethics Club: Meets Tuesdays during lunch in Room 10, open to grades 7-12. This club focuses on organizing volunteering and community service projects. Advisor: Ben Anderson

FATE Club: The For All To Enjoy Club meets after school from 3:30 – 4:30 pm on Mondays in Room 9, open to grades 7-12. This club is a group for table top gaming and discussions. Advisor: Geoff Rowe

Film Club: Meets Wednesdays after school starting at 3:30 pm in Room 13, open to grades 7-12. Members will watch and discuss films. A signed permission slip is required to participate in this club. Advisor: Brent Dunham

Girls On The Run: Meets on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 – 4:45 pm in room 14, open to grades 7-8. The registration deadline for the fall is Sept. 9. The goal of this group is to prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Advisor: Gina Nabours

Glee Club: Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch in Room 7, open to grades 7-12 . There are also recommended meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30am – 8:30am in Room A2. This club involves singing and dancing of songs from different genres and time periods. Advisor: Mike Levin and Ari Wilder

National Art Honor Society, Karen Butterfield Chapter: Meets 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:00AM in art room #6. Arts advocacy, leadership, service organization. Advisor: Janeece Henes

National Honor Society: Meets once a month in the evening, open by invitation only (based on academic achievement, service, and character). Grades 11-12 participate in this organization. Advisors: Becky Daggett and Michelle Beaudreau

Odyssey of the Mind: Meets after school on a day TBA from 3:30 – 5 pm (more as needed) in Room 1 and 2, open to grades 7-8. Participate in discovering creative solutions to problems as a group and then presenting these solutions at team competitions. Advisors: Jeanne Ledvina, Megan McKenna, Abe Springer, and Stephen Knutson

Orchestra Club: Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:20 – 8:35 am in room 12, open to grades 7-12. All students interested in learning to play a string instrument in an ensemble are welcome. Advisor: Emily Siller

Student Council: Meets Wednesdays and Fridays during lunch in Room 13 and has monthly evening meetings, open to grades 7-12 (membership is determined by student election). Student Council is the representative decision-making group for the FALA student body and also plans beginning and end of the year activities, talent shows, dances, and more. Advisor: Ari Wilder
